Evri is one of the UK’s biggest parcel carriers. It was Hermes UK until March 2022, and in October 2025 it completed its merger with DHL eCommerce UK to form Evri Group, majority owned by Apollo-managed funds with DHL Group as a significant shareholder.
The group delivered more than 1 billion parcels in its 2025/26 year, up 17%. It runs more than 12,500 ParcelShops and lockers, and 93% of the UK population lives within two miles of one.
Accounts for every size
Evri’s business accounts scale with volume, from Frequent Seller for those sending ten or more parcels a week, through SME, to Corporate for 5,000 or more. Services range from Next Day, with late cut-off times, to a tracked 48-hour Standard service, and international delivery reaches more than 220 countries and territories.
Sellers can drop parcels at a ParcelShop or locker, where labels print free in-store, or book a collection with a one-hour window. Recipients can divert a parcel to a neighbor, a safe place or a ParcelShop. Evri Premium, built on the former DHL eCommerce UK network, handles high-value and larger items.
Marketplaces
On eBay, Evri is one of the two carriers assigned to private sellers through Simple Delivery since April 2025, alongside Royal Mail. It’s also a carrier option for Vinted sellers.
Connecting Evri to Shopify
A Shopify store can reach Evri more than one way. Shopify Shipping sells Evri labels on Shopify’s own Evri account, with two-day and next-day services from a ParcelShop, plus Shop to Shop delivery to a pickup point. There’s no Evri account to open, and no collections.
Evri’s own Bulk Send tool imports orders from Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Temu, WooCommerce, Magento and others, or from a spreadsheet, and books them from one dashboard. The Evri app in the Shopify App Store is published by Parcel2Go, and imports sold items and prints labels in bulk.
Shipping and order platforms connect to it too. ShipStation UK can buy Evri labels directly or connect an existing Evri Business account, and Linnworks lists Evri Business as an integration.
Which account an Evri integration needs
Evri says an account can link to up to 90 sales channels and warehouse systems, depending on its level. The account type starts to matter once a third-party platform connects with the seller’s own Evri rates. ShipStation connects Evri Business accounts, and Evri Personal accounts can’t be connected to it. Mintsoft’s help center says its Evri business integration needs a credit account rather than pay-as-you-go, and the same sign-in errors show up when the API key Evri issued has expired.
Routes that sell labels on their own Evri account need no contract from the seller at all. That covers Shopify Shipping, and the Evri labels ShipStation sells to UK-based ShipStation accounts.
How Evri tracking gets back to the store
Each route reports back at its own moment. Bulk Send marks orders as dispatched on the linked store or marketplace, and Evri says that happens as soon as the parcels are with Evri, after drop-off or collection. ShipStation sends the selling channel a shipment notification, tracking number included, the moment a label is created.
On a Shopify order, the tracking number appears in the customer’s shipping confirmation email. Shopify picks the carrier from the number’s format, or from the carrier chosen when the order was fulfilled, and the order status page links to that carrier’s tracking. With Evri set as the carrier, the customer lands on Evri’s own tracking page.
Investing in the network
Evri is spending £80 million on its network this year, including an upgraded Barnsley hub that can sort up to 1.5 million parcels a day by Christmas 2026 and its first own smart lockers. It aims for 25,000 drop-off locations by 2030, and in October 2026 it bought Cross Border Connect to grow its UK, EU and US shipping.
What a parcel really costs
Evri reaches stores and marketplaces in several ways, and each one leaves room to build around it. Tracking can go back to the order the moment a parcel is dropped off, each parcel’s real service and rate can feed the order’s profit, and parcels stuck in transit can be flagged before the customer asks.
The delivery charge a customer pays and the carrier’s bill rarely match, so adding a carrier like Evri means one more rate card in that calculation. For any of these jobs, start with the numbers.
